Run As One!
The NYRR Run As One race was today! The course was exactly the same as the 4 mile Run for the Parks course, and after greatly exceeding my expectations last week by running with a 7:43 min/mi. pace, I was worried I had set myself up for disappointment this time around. Boy was I wrong. [RunKeeper] I beat my previous time by nearly 1:30 and improved my pace a full 20 seconds! Plus I placed...

So our little running group had it’s first injury occur today. Allison took a spill on an uneven sidewalk about a third of a mile in and scraped up her knees. We patched her up at a nearby Rite Aid and took off again, but she decided to call it quits after another mile — probably a good thing too, since we want her healed up for next week’s 5K at Astoria Park! Matt and I...

I want to...

…from Sunday’s NYRR/CPF Race for the Parks. I couldn’t find myself in even one photo. Not. One. I saw plenty of people multiple times though.

Run + Yoga
Got out of work late tonight and ended up with less than 15 minutes to run before going to yoga class at my gym. Running just a mile and a half at my regular pace isn’t really beneficial though. So I ran like hell. And ended up with a new 1-mile PR! (Then slowed down for the 3/4 mi. back.) [RunKeeper] Back at the apartment I downed a glass of chocolate milk and dashed off to yoga...

Overexplaining this tumblr
While I’ve logged every run I’ve done with RunKeeper (with one exception), I’ve decided I want to have more than just numbers and maps to chronicle my running “career.” This blog will be where I log my runs with words and photos, as well as a place to share running-related thoughts, music, etc. While I have an existing blog on tumblr, I thought it was appropriate to separate the random stuff I...
